Sukkathon is a two-week, student-run, campus-wide building and design competition centered around the Sukkah. Biblical in origin, the Sukkah is an ephemeral, elemental shelter, erected for one week each fall, in which it is customary to share meals, entertain, sleep, and rejoice.
This year, around 10 teams of students from all different walks of campus life will design and build their very own Sukkah, based around themes that they find meaningful and relevant. The goal of Sukkathon is to engage students thoughtfully and creatively in an age-old tradition, showing the tradition in a new light and bringing together campus to celebrate the beauty of diversity.
